Kim's picks |
- Tapestry print thrifted sweater: I love the amazing detail on this knitted sweater. The pastel colors really pop against the black...and who doesn't love mirror prints x grandma style? See it on me on our instagram.
- Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine serum: I gave this product a try on the recommendation of Yvonne. I follow the directions on the bottle, and I think it makes my hair look shiny and healthy. Definitely not a bad price point for a shine serum either, especially if you use a coupon from the Sunday weekly ads.
- Garnier Fructis Sky-Hi Volume mousse: The second product I picked up was this mousse which I've decided I like. My hair is super fine and flat, so I do what I can to give some boost to my hair. My routine consists of washing my hair, waiting for it to dry all the way, and sleeping in a high half-pony. When I wake up and style my hair, I squirt a golf-ball sized dollop of mousse and work it in my roots. I usually wait for the mousse to dry with my head upside down. The mousse usually keeps the volume almost all day.
- Wet n Wild MegaLast lip color in carrot gold: This color has been carrying me through the long dreary winter days at college. It's a neon orange with pink undertones. It has gorgeous color payoff and is super cheap--- not a bad deal if you just want to try some color. It's a matte lip color, so it's not that moisturizing, which is okay as long as you've prepped your lips.
- Asos bobble beanie: Baby pink is definitely having a moment. I picked up this pom-pom hat on Asos clearance for about $6 (similar). Such a steal, but I was nonetheless hesitant only because I thought I wouldn't have the chance to wear it...but lo and behold it is still below freezing, so that was silly of me.
- Superga sneakers: I have been searching high and low for some trusty white canvas shoes to wear with just about anything. I know I could have picked up a basic pair at Target or something, but I wanted something a bit cooler but not a pair of Converse (although they are stylish, I don't think they are comfortable at all...Vans are much better if I had to compare the two). Superga shoes are the Keds of Italy, so they are kind of expensive. So, I looked on Poshmark and found a white pair in just my size. I love them to death but have minor OCD about keeping them fresh and white. We'll see how long that lasts.
- Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea: This is obviously not a beauty or style-related favorite, but it has been keeping me calm during this credit-loaded final semester. It tastes a little sweeter than the normal Chamomile tea, which is nice, especially with some milk.
Happy Monday!
